Si esamina la diffusione e la circolazione delle reliquie da Roma alla Sicilia e la conseguente proliferazione, a seguito dei dettami del Concilio di Trento recepiti dai vari Sinodi diocesani, di sacre custodie in metallo prezioso o in legno. Vengono, infatti, indagati alcuni reliquiari d’argento che, custoditi nei Tesori siciliani, sono contestualizzati nella pertinente temperie storico-culturale. Due di essi, inediti e dalla tipologia a busto, sono conservati nel Tesoro della Matrice di San Mauro Castelverde (Pa). Della suppellettile liturgica contenente le sacra vestigia di S. Santo Dominguito de Val: La ?tradición? como arma arrojadiza a disposición de los poderes establecidos

This study focuses, from a short story of the blood libel of Saint Dominguito de Val, on answering the questions of when and why the ?tradition? was made about this saint, and the specific moments of his Revitalization until the end of the 17th century. Although the short story of the death of this infant has been occupied by the most diverse writers of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, we take as reference the master Espés and the chroniclers Blancas, Andrés de Uztarroz and Dormer.
